GUJRAT: Pakistani Federal Information Minister Kamar Zaman Kaira said Wednesday that anti-Pakistan forces wanted to incite sectarian riots during holy month of Muharram. However, all the stakeholders jointly thwarted this conspiracy.

Speaking at a ceremony in Gujrat Police Line, he said that no compromise should be made in restoring the law and order as doing so could strengthen the adversaries and weakened the government.

Kaira said that only few controversial clauses of the 17th Amendments would be set aside. The federal minister said that there was no threat to government or democracy.

Mian Nawaz Sharif should include Ahsan Iqbal in the Constitutional Committee as he has many objections with the PPP, he said.
